Aquila Ecology can carry out unique research into the presence and activity patterns of particular bird species. We do this by analysing days or even months of sound recordings with software. The software recognises 340 bird species based on sound. The recognition has high accuracy, thanks to a unique algorithm developed by Aquila Ecology itself.
Opportunities
Aquila Ecology's automated monitoring can be used in many ways. We can monitor all species or determine the presence of specific species by analysing weeks of recordings for them. Determinations by the software can thereby be checked afterwards. The technique is also very strong for accurately measuring activity patterns and comparing areas.

A pilot with a long-term recording analysed by the software resulted in fascinating activity patterns and interesting species recognised by the AI.
