Niels Frenken-Kimpel
Ecologist
Niels has an extensive background in managing natural areas. He finds it important to find solutions to known problems with which all parties involved can be satisfied. In addition, he is always very interested and knowledgeable about the latest techniques when it comes to nature research or monitoring.
Anne Krediet
Data scientist
Anne Krediet studied Forest and Nature Management and Biology at Wageningen University and Mathematics at HBO Fontys Tilburg. During his PhD, he immersed himself in AI and Machine learning. Anne develops the software at Aquila. Improving nature management and conservation motivates Anne when developing this innovative technology.
Mission
Aquila Ecology's mission is to improve ecological research with modern technology. Especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Aquila Ecology offers strong solutions. The focus is not on the technology, but on the ecological question. Every question has its own challenges. That is why we look at which approach and which technology fits the issue, not the other way around. We are honest about what cannot be done and, above all, enthusiastic about what is possible.
